Working with seed and small startups, entrepreneurs, and agencies (Exygy, see description below) on design systems, information architecture, UX/UI, usability testing, client meetings, and marketing strategies. Clients include Hashi Corp., Harness, Earn.org, Vehiclehistory.com, and Walmart International (full-time for Walmart Mexico).

NewsBreak is the top 2 news app, focusing on local news as a content aggregator. I led a team of 10 designers to establish the design culture and system. Individual contributor to mobile app projects, including the Coronavirus page, article reading experience, live news/events coverage, app store optimization, and app architecture.

UX/UI lead for the Square Panda app, a curriculum-based, games app for pre-k and kindergarten children to learn to read; design mobile- and web-based applications for parents and teachers to see learning progress, customize game content, and manage accounts; help marketing and sales with design needs and content strategy. Setting up design tools, communication, and processes across international teams.

Change.org is a petitions / campaigns platform for anyone to petition for the change(s) they’d like to see. I led a team of 3 designers on identifying growth and revenue opportunities, membership rollout, user engagement, and campaign support.

Exygy is a design and development B-corp agency, addressing the needs of nonprofits and social impact clients. Worked with Exygy’s team and clients, including SF’s Children’s Council, Sparo, and YMCA Silicon Valley.

Meta is an augmented reality hardware + software startup. Worked with VP of Design on redesigning Meta's website, explored product UI patterns, and supported patent application drawings.

Lead interaction / strategy / content designer for the Online Business Team (extension to HP Enterprise’s corporate marketing). Responsible for the main site (saas.hpe.com, the destination for trying and buying HP enterprise applications) and application marketplaces (i.e. saas.hpe.com/marketplace/big-data), including IA, navigation, mobile web, feature scoping, and content and marketing strategy with HPE application teams.

First and only designer for LocBox, an online marketing solution for local businesses. In a team of 6 engineers + 1 product manager, worked on the website, the LocBox application (business user-facing), internal workflow application, and marketing content.

Dabee is a social ecommerce destination, primarily in Brazil. Responsible for everything design-related: worked with the CEO and cofounders on product direction and vision, with the Engineering team in India on implementation, and helped Marketing, Community, and Merchandising teams in Brazil with brand, positioning, and collaterals.

Managed 3 designers with responsibilities in Yahoo!’s homepage on the iPad, Yahoo! apps for Android (Yahoo! and Yahoo! Weather), Yahoo! Messenger integration across the Yahoo! network, and the next-generation multi-mode messaging platform. Designer for Yahoo! Mail’s smart applications: identified and designed applications that add value from language, information, and data in emails.

Lead designer for Yahoo! Calendar and Yahoo! Notepad; defined concepts, interaction, usability requirements, identified revenue opportunities, and prioritized features. Co-inventor / patent owner of the Rich Media Platform: an extension to Yahoo!'s advertising solutions using Yahoo! Calendar to inject photos, videos, and content into calendar events.

Design lead for xApp Resource and Portfolio Management (xRPM): defined the application schema and navigation, planned and ran usability testing at customer sites, and managed an intern. Developed and maintained intranet to disseminate design standards and guidelines. Led research and specification of section 508 accessibility guidelines and requirements.
