Initially hired to produce a larger series of educational videos for a client (~8 hours of content), leasing with lead designers from both THRIVE and the client, this work included video editing, motion graphics, animation, colour grading and audio mixing. When this body of work was delivered, moved on to marketing and pre sales promotional platform walkthrough videos

A small software operation outputting audio plugins for the music community, from hobbyists to professionals. Having started out primarily focusing on workflow tools, we are now moving towards more creative plugins.As a role I have lead the development for all plugins except for Stochas and recruited freelance developers to assist with the completion when and where necessary, handled all the day to day management and accounting, providing customer support, web maintenance and design, new product conception and research/design

Recording and mix engineer for both live and studio based projects. Having worked out of the studios at Futureworks recording and mixing music for various artists, including Kristyna Myles (Decca Records) and Sketchline (RedMist Records) using a Neve VR Legend, an SSL AWS900 and mixing film projects on a D-Control (inc. Finding Polish and Letters Home for Comma Film) Dave also scored both of these films.

Dave worked under the guidance of the studio manager and undertook numerous roles which included the general upkeep and cleaning of the studios through to problem solving and assisting students with various projects from musical recordings in the numerous studios to aiding and setting up the edit suites for the video and computer games students. During this time Dave developed upon his knowledge of Final Cut Studio and Avid Media Composer going from basic user to being proficient in both to be able to assist the students in their projects. Dave also became a regular assistant for the audio students on many projects requiring DVD authoring, utilising DVD Studio Pro.Working in the studios whilst finishing his studies allowed Dave to grasp a better understanding of the the studio environment and this showed in his projects.
