    I started at Citifyd, my first startup experience, as employee number two. I inherited a legacy iOS app that needed a complete refactoring. Many hours wrist-deep in Objective-C and working closely with our first backend developer creating new APIs and SDKs, we turned it into a thing of beauty. I was lucky enough to be allowed to use my previous business ownership experience to help hire an amazing core team of 6 strong developers and designers to collectively navigate the rough waters of startupland in order to ultimately build a suite of parking provider and consumer products. I have managed projects and defined goals, requirements, timelines, and the deliverables surrounding them. From a developer's standpoint, the coding was intense and demanding. I don't think there's a corner of iOS frameworks or major CocoaPods libraries I haven't explored; I've built libraries of my own focused on being scalable, reusable, and understandable. I've helped write patents. The most fun part was writing low-level C integration with various BLE hardware interfaces - IOT stuff - flipping switches and listening to sensors. With several thousand users on-boarding and new challenges popping up daily, balancing the intensive coding required while helping run a team was a true adventure.
