I started doing Computer Support as a tech at my High School almost 20 years ago when I got tired of the failing computer equipment that was provided for use. In some cases I was only a few years older than some of the equipment. After figuring out I was pretty good at repair, I got a job at a local computer store, Computer Renaissance, as a Retail Sales Associate. Eventually, as my skills grew, I eventually became one of the lead technicians at this company, where I did provided support both onsite and offsite at local homes/businesses in the area. After staying with Computer Renaissance for 10 years, I moved on to become the IT Manager at BMW Concord.Today I personally support close to 200 computerized devices at the dealership, ranging from Desktop Computers (150+) to the specialized equipment that is used out in the shop at 4 sites. To break up the monotony of day to day support, I also do most of the Online Advertising/Social Branding for our dealership, which flexes the Multimedia Design degree I received from Sacramento State so many years ago.Using both the understanding I have on the tech side of things...backed with my online/multimedia experience, I have the ability to effectively implement branding strategy to build the online presence of the dealership. Time limitations and caused me not to grow much further in this field.In the future, I would like to spend more time on Online Marketing and Branding.
