Served as the first-ever Campus Security Operations Director for the organization leading a 24/7 hybrid security team of 28 staff across multiple locations.Created a comprehensive workplace violence plan that includes policies, training, multidisciplinary collaboration, and emergency preparedness for extreme violence.Implemented a Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor alarms, cameras, and intelligence feeds while freeing fixed post Security staff to focus on customer service. Quickly adapted operations to support COVID-19 organizational efforts including a regional COVID test processing center, building density protocols, and precautions.

Initiated and completed the transition of the entire 120 person contract Security Department into a professional in-house Police & Security Department. Recruited highly skilled, experienced leaders to key positions.Developed a comprehensive workplace violence prevention and intervention strategy for the hospital and initiated/co-chaired the Workplace Violence Subcommittee. Mapped out and executed a major multi-year project to replace the legacy access control system consisting of thousands of card readers with an AMAG access control system. Lobbied for and oversaw the installation of a new infant security system that was one of the largest system installations in the Northeast. The project enhanced infant security while enabling patient discharge changes that resulted in greatly improved patient satisfaction scores and hundreds of thousands of dollars in labor savings. Created a regional leadership structure to manage newly expanded ambulatory site security staffing across the state.Designed security measures, systems, and security staffing for the new 25K sq. ft. emergency department expansion project.Managed Parking & Commuter Services department consisting of over 130 in-house and contract employees.Responsible for the protection of over 6.1M square feet of urban main campus space and the hospital community in addition to numerous off-site locations.
