As Partner / Legal with Atlas Capital Partners, Dave’s task is to advise the partnership, evaluate decisions on new investments that will become part of the portfolio and ensure that the Atlas partnership is providing human capital to support the management teams in the portfolio. He is frequently called upon to manage the delivery of legal services to Atlas entities, including contract matters, financings, management of litigation, intellectual property issues, and services by outside counsel.In his 35 years of law practice, Dave has acted as principal legal counsel to numerous business entities, including technology-based manufacturers, distribution companies, real estate development firms, contractors, restaurant companies, advertising and marketing firms, and various service firms. In such capacity, Dave has been frequently involved in the creation of new entities, as well as in the restructuring, sale and purchase of business operations. Dave has also represented Fortune 500 companies, the University of Minnesota, and public agencies on various projects. As a qualified neutral, he has successfully mediated a number of large, complex multi-party commercial and construction disputes.
