An Asset Management professional who has significant experience in the fields of Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and Major Projects at an operational and corporate level within the Resource Industry.My extensive background has always involved working in demanding and challenging roles where I have drawn on my strengths in leadership, strategy development, decision making and financial management to deliver solid results through what is recognised today as good asset management.Throughout my career I have continually maintained my professional qualifications and development in order to build my capability in an ever changing market. Now as a Director & past Chair of the Board of the Asset Management Council of Australia, & Company Secretary of the World Partners in Asset Management and as a member of the Global Forum in Maintenance & Asset Management, I remain committed to sharing my knowledge and experience with individuals and industry. As a member of the original ISO project committee that developed the ISO 5500x Asset Management Standards, I have served as the Chair of the Australian Mirror committee that, as a group, represents Australia on the ISO committee reviewing and improving the quality of these important documents up to the issue of the 2024 versions. This background provides me with a unique insight to the international stage of asset management across a broad spectrum of industries.Transitioning to semi-retirement has allowed me to spend more time on the Asset Management non-profit area and focus on some of the things I want to do. Program all-encompassing in scope and aimed significantly improving the overall performance of the Department in response to historical performance and an ever increasing demand.This work was externally benchmarked and recognised by the Asset Management Council of Australia and ranked at a Silver Award level. • Non Processing Infrastructure – Development of the organisational design, processes & systems and asset information to support the management of large infrastructure assets • Rapid Growth Project 4 (Newman Hub)Design & implement an operational readiness program for the Newman Hub to ensure the seamless transition from construction to operation. The program has enabled all site operations personnel to be trained (with competency verification) and introduced to the hub during commissioning. The appropriate systems and process have been provided in a sustainable manner to enable the hub to be ramped up to full production with minimal delays.This program is recognised as a benchmark and provides the basis for future Operations Readiness programsThe program received external recognition via the Asset Management Council Silver Award and nomination for the Engineers Australia Engineering Excellence award.
