This included assets located within BHP Billiton Iron Ore's Mines, Ports, Rail and general infrastructure.Achievements: • Track & Signals Asset Management programSuccessful development and introduction of a complete asset management program in the track & signals environment. Program all-encompassing in scope and aimed significantly improving the overall performance of the Department in response to historical performance and an ever increasing demand.This work was externally benchmarked and recognised by the Asset Management Council of Australia and ranked at a Silver Award level. • Non Processing Infrastructure – Development of the organisational design, processes & systems and asset information to support the management of large infrastructure assets • Rapid Growth Project 4 (Newman Hub)Design & implement an operational readiness program for the Newman Hub to ensure the seamless transition from construction to operation. The program has enabled all site operations personnel to be trained (with competency verification) and introduced to the hub during commissioning. The appropriate systems and process have been provided in a sustainable manner to enable the hub to be ramped up to full production with minimal delays.This program is recognised as a benchmark and provides the basis for future Operations Readiness programsThe program received external recognition via the Asset Management Council Silver Award and nomination for the Engineers Australia Engineering Excellence award.
