🎓 Education:I am a senior majoring in Exercise Science at Wichita State University, with an anticipated graduation in the Spring of 2025.🌐 Campus Engagement:Engaged in the vibrant campus community, I am an active member of several organizations, including the Pre-Physical Therapy Organization, Exercise Science Student Organization, and the Community Service Board.🔬 Professional Experience:Currently, I serve as a laboratory assistant in the Human Performance Laboratory on campus, offering services such as DEXA scans, DARI assessments, and VO2 max tests to both students and the community. My role involves significant contributions to research experiences, ranging from participant recruitment to data collection, product validation, and neurocognitive testing.🛩️ Military Service:Before embarking on my academic journey, I proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for five years (2017-2022). During this time, I gained invaluable leadership skills and immersed myself in diverse clinical experiences, including patient care, logistics management, mentorship roles, and community service.🌟 Noteworthy Achievement:A highlight of my military service was being one of two members at McConnell Air Force Base tasked with the COVID-19 response in 2020. This experience provided the unique opportunity to collaborate with the White House Medical Unit personnel in Washington, DC.✈️ Reserve Service:After completing my active duty contract, I transitioned to the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a staff sergeant with the 931st Aerospace Medical Squadron at McConnell AFB. In this role, I focus on ensuring the medical readiness status of our service members.💼 Professional Growth:My time management skills are shown through balancing both my military commitments and academic. I also work as a physical therapy technician at Advanced Physical Therapy where I quickly advanced to the role of lead technician. In that role, I am responsible for creating schedules, devising training plans for new hires, managing supplies, and facilitating monthly meetings to address concerns and provide additional training.
