The last fifteen years have been all about building and running Support orgs, including Product Specialists, Trust & Safety, Data Privacy, and Compliance teams. The best part has been the number of PMs, PMMs, Directors, and team builders that have come out of my various orgs over the years, taking people from these groups that are often seen as pure cost centers and growing them into their careers across the tech landscape.Other than that, I do lots of different things lots of the time. I can; interview thousands of people and hire the dozen that make sense, build support and operation teams that scale and serve with class, design product plans and pricing strategies, build offices from scratch, lead local teams and multi-national groups, manage partners and clients worth millions in revenue. All at once.If we hit an awkward spot trying to make small talk, I can drone on endlessly about the following things; the three years I spent as a motorcycle journalist and racer along with the associated broken bones, writing and then not producing an independent film, flying small planes, flying often in large planes with small children, asking your family to relocate internationally seven different times, my (patent pending!) algorithm that quantifies the performance of fast things that was developed primarily so I can argue on the internet with strangers, and struggling to still be better at video games than my kids.
