Daveed Gartenstein-Ross is the founder and CEO of Valens Games. Daveed founded Valens Games in 2024 with two core ideas driving it. The first idea is a style of gaming Daveed pioneered known as Immersive Exercises. The second idea is a market-leading game design platform that allows rapid and deep creation of games. As an entrepreneur, Daveed previously founded and led Valens Global, a private firm that was twice named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s E360 list of the best entrepreneurial companies in America. He has held positions with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Google, and in 2019, he led Valens Global’s efforts to support the drafting, threat assessment, and crafting of priority actions for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s 2019 Strategic Framework for Countering Terrorism and Targeted Violence, which received widespread acclaim. The International Herald Tribune described Daveed as “a rising star in the counterterrorism community” during his career in that sphere.He holds a Ph.D. in world politics from the Catholic University of America and a J.D. from the New York University School of Law. He is the author or volume editor of over 30 books and monographs, including volumes published by popular (Penguin, Wiley) and academic (Columbia University Press) presses
