By being a registered babysitter/nanny for the Bubble app, it has allowed me to connect with a range of families who need last-minute childcare. Over the years, I have been able to gain a wide range of experience by carrying out different types of sits e.g. nanny share, looking after twins, SEN children, helpr, sleep-in sits, bedtime/after-school assistance etc. When looking after the children, my duties with them and domestic tasks include - supervising them within their home, cleaning their play room and bedrooms, doing laundry and drying and folding them, keeping/tidying various rooms in the home clean, recycling, giving breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack, nappy changing, organizing cabinets etc. I would babysit per the parents preference, which could be a few times a week or a few times a month. Either way, by being a babysitter/nanny, it allows me to spend time with the children in their own home as well as carrying out domestic chores as well.

My daily tasks work towards finding suitable candidates within the tax market and placing them within new and exciting tax opportunities in London. I assist candidates in finding suitable jobs in the tax sector and work on registering jobs on behalf of the most well-accredited accountancy firms in the industry. Some of my responsibilities include finding and contacting potential candidates, working towards actively building a strong client base, understanding the requirements and expectations of both clients and candidates, using various sourcing and recruiting methods to attract and screen candidates, creating and maintaining relationships with clients and candidates, arranging and committing to client meetings to build rapport and providing consultant advice and guidance clients and candidates throughout the hiring process. As an Associate, I undergo often webinars, training sessions, individualized 1-2-1 sessions and a wide range of accessible supportive tools. This role has enabled me to work in a pressuring and high-demanding role, where my efforts are recognized through the client and candidates I build with multiple firms.

Working at Dysart School, it has enabled me to use my skills and knowledge gained when working in a previous SEN environment. The school is a mixture of different educational years, from babies to teenagers (lower, middle and upper school). As an LSA, my daily duties would include supporting the leading teacher in class with the children throughout lessons, making resources after school hours, supporting children during their different zones of regulations moments (ZOR). From using Class Dojo to communicate with parents, it has allowed me to give detailed feedback and having proactive conversations with parents throughout the school day.

From working on a hospital ward, it has allowed me to work closely with sisters and nurses, as well as doctors, matrons, physiotherapists. Each day is never the same, but the day-to-day duties improve me as an individual. As I am employed full-time, my shifts vary from 2-4days a week, each consisting of 12.5hours, which can be challenging. Throughout the work day, it is necessary that I complete relevant paperwork in patient bedside notes – fluids/food charts, repositioning charts, stool chart etc. I also carry out personal care duties can happen through the day, but mainly in the mornings, and this includes - washing, toileting and mouthcare. Some patients require assistance with feeding during mealtimes and whilst taking their medication. Based on their medical and health conditions, I carry out observations – respiration rate, o2 levels, heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, bowel and urine outtake and blood sugars. (and these are all stored using VitalPack). Overall, my job role as a healthcare assistant, is ensuring patients are comfortable and cared for whilst in hospital and caring for their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

Solace Care Morden is a newly opened care home under the Solace Care Group. Their most newest care home is based in South West London, in Morden. Originally, I was hired to carry out my roles and responsibilities as a residential support worker for children aged 8-17years. However, I was recruited in the pre-stages of the opening of the care home to support them with various tasks. By doing so, I was able to gain experience in safer recruitment, admin, the interviewing process, general office assistance, working closely alongside the management team, carrying out tasks which were appointed to me directly and contacting external organizations on behalf of the home. As well as these tasks, I was able to participate in decorating the home, making the bedrooms and the home overall into a warm environment ready for opening and understanding the policies and procedures which support a children's home. Due to the nature of this job role (office-based), it has allowed me to gain the experience on what it is like to carry out a job role of this nature.

Working at Aspire Day Nursey has allowed me to work within a classroom environment and work closely with children. As I am still a full-time student, my hours were spread over 5 days a week and my hours would vary, but are majorly during the morning, when the children come in and have their breakfast. My duties and responsibilities include - giving the children breakfast, setting up the classroom ready for the children before they come in, engaging in activities with the children through the day e.g. reading books, arts & crafts, playing with toys, playing in the garden, providing support during breakfast/lunch/tea/snack time, changing nappies and helping maintain hygiene during the COVID-19 pandemic e.g. hand sanitizing and hand washing.

Kisimul Woodstock House are one of the few houses under the Kisimul Group Limited, providing education, care and residential placements to children who undergo complex learning difficulties, challenging behaviors, autism and global developmental delay. My role of a healthcare assistant/support worker consists of the following: assistance with personal care/toileting/dressing, serving and support during mealtimes, support with activities, completing handover books, incident/accident reports and keeping their bedrooms and bathroom clean e.g. mopping, sweeping, changing bed sheets and putting clothes away from laundry etc. Overall, this role allows me to give direct care, assistance and support to the residents. As each child has their own individualized plan on which their care is revolved around, this allows me to communicate and work closely with the children, as well as understanding their needs.

Joining Chessington World of Adventures at one of the most busiest times of the year, meant I was working within a very fast-paced environment and under pressure, which I worked well under and coped with appropriately and positively. My job role varied with me working in back of house and front of house. Back of house duties involved: preparing food, working food machines, re-stocking the fridge and/or freezer and recording food temperatures. Front of house duties involved: preparing beverages, serving and dealing with customers first hand, dealing with any customer feedback or complaints, ensuring the condiments were filled and stocked up, using the cash register and packing customer orders.
