All my life I have enjoyed the challenges of entrepreneurship. At age 16 I started my first company, retrofitting insulation in neighbors' homes. I rose to the level of partner at the CPA firm I joined out of college. Bob Campbell came up with the idea to form CSC Entity Services Group which we started in a spare bedroom and grew to become an industry leader, competing against the biggest banks in Delaware. I also formed a company devoted to providing family office services to affluent families. One of my colleagues stayed with the concept and is very successfully executing the business model that we developed together at that company. I was intricately involved in the start up of a specialty trust company in Delaware. And I am finishing where I started - residential construction.Along the way I have learned that you are only as good as the people around you, so I always strive to promote an environment where self-motivated people can flourish. I enjoy working with talented, hard-working people who have the drive and ambition to realize their potential and that is exactly what we are doing at Turnstone Custom Homes. I thought I would be taking it easier by now, but I get a lot of personal satisfaction from this work. I also learned that a good deal with the wrong people is a bad deal. What I value most is my reputation as an honest, fair and ethical business person and friend - I have never, and will never allow expediency or opportunity to threaten those core values.
