Operational Planner

Duties: Lead operational, contingency, and crisis planning for all future operations of a large organization (over 30,000 personnel), including running both crisis and steady-state cross functional teams. Manage the organization’s long term operational strategy and implement future concepts into exercises and rehearsals that affect the organization’s posture during peacetime and at war.Accomplishments• Led large cross functional teams in support of 6 INDO-PACOM level exercises, including exercise design, scenario design, and synchronization across major commands. • Led a coalition / joint multi-week planning effort with over 70 participants in support of exercise Balikatan in the Republic of the Philippines, including exercise design, scenario design, the operational approach of the unit and building the operations order to support the conduct of the exercise.• Led a crisis cross functional team to stand up a Joint Task Force to respond to a typhoon in the Philippines.• Led a cross functional team in early 2020 to understand the impacts of COVID and organize all aspects of the military response on the island of Okinawa, including medical, operational, and logistics support to both military and family members, which laid the groundwork for the organizations COVID response.
