I head-up the busy Information Services department within Sefton Library Service and in addition have a wider remit as a member of the Libraries Management Team. I have gained significant success in taking Information Services forward, providing key current and historic information to a high number of internal and external customers; these including TV companies. As part of this, I have appeared on TV in a historical programme, participated significantly in another, and also been interviewed on live radio, as well as appearing in an Arts film. Recent successes have included managing the development of my department's online capability, leading a key project to develop a web platform and digitising our historic photograph collections, thus allowing global public access and facilitating the generation of income. This project has now moved into Phase 2, (June 2017) whereby we will be offering audio clips of interviews with local people speaking about Sefton's past. I have also been responsible for planning, developing and implementing borough-wide programmes of 'Get online' internet taster sessions for older people, as one strand of social inclusion measures introduced by the service.Developing new partnerships is key and one success in 2016 / 17 has been initiating working with a business advisory team, who have now signed up 43 Sefton residents starting their own businesses. This Enterprise Hub operates at all of our library service points.A key part of my current role is creating and giving substantial presentations to large audiences. I have also co-written and had published an educational booklet focusing on World War One.

A highly visible and key client-facing role for leading outplacement company, liaising with and meeting up with senior corporate client executives at CMC offices throughout the UK. Purposes of the meetings are to advise the clients of what the Research Service can offer; to train them to use a suite of databases for job search purposes (via a web portal called the ClientCentre); and to analyse their background and then agree on business information requirements. Parallel primary role is to take and process client requests for varied and complex business intelligence, eg to give background company information at the interview stage; retrieved from key online sources such as OneSource, Lexis/Nexis.

Maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrade of computers and peripherals, installing software and running monitoring tools on two separate networks in a busy college environment, as part of the 1st line support team. Also advising/teaching college staff on using software and setting up projectors for illustrated lectures.I resigned from this role after only a short period, as while in post I applied for and was successful in gaining another position at CMC Ltd.

Held senior position on a short-term contract basis as part of a specialised team, project managing (in a Prince2 environment) three ground-breaking pilot schemes to help SMEs enhance their business via the use of broadband technology, in the field of security. This involved the ongoing sourcing of funding to geographically increase areas covered by two of the projects regularly liaising with clients and suppliers, ensuring that completion of target stages were met on time and technical issues were resolved. Regular meetings with MB senior management facilitating the free flow of information via all parties. Also promotion of MerseyBroadband at business fairs and conventions.

Primary role was to manage the corporate ChamberTrack CMS and other key databases eg GONW; Online Chamber Members database. Areas of operation included all data and reporting issues, facilitating the free flow of accurate information, user training and access control, resolution of technical issues. Attended regular meetings with senior management and Corsair Ltd (ChamberTrack design company). Also designed, built and implemented localised databases using MS Access.

Managed busy IT Helpdesk and 1st line Support Team, prioritising tasks and providing timely service to approximately 200 PC users liasing regularly with 2nd line Support and the IT Manager. Helped staff in a hands-on PC support role when necessary. Managed asset register and corporate team office moves. Was heavily involved in rollout/networking/checking software configurations of new PCs and the subsequent migration from the legacy LAN to the new national Wide Area Network.

Developed the corporate CMS database, liaising with departmental heads and senior engineers from the company that designed the system, carrying out systems analysis exercises and then developing database modules accordingly, to cater for the requirements of individual corporate teams. Following these developments, introduced rigid procedural documentation and then tailored training sessions for staff, to ensure correct database usage. Wrote MI reports using Arpeggio software and ran and disseminated the information on a regular and ad hoc basis. In addition, wrote and implemented rigid protocols for consistent data input and managed a complex data cleansing project, embedding mechanisms for ongoing regular update of data. Designed and implemented a complex localised HR database.

Provided in-depth project-based business information packages to client SMEs (eg competitor analyses), using online and cd-based databases. Also worked with start-up businesses.
