2/2024: Wow, missile launch detection satellites - incredibly exciting stuff. Joined Maxar as Flight Software Engineer working on an exciting new fleet of satellites for a high-profile corporate customer.12/2022: Working feverishly on embedded C/C++ apps for Orion's onboard DCam and Lidar Docking infrastructure using NASA's CFS framework. Can't believe how amazing this work and this team are. Almost seems too good to be true. Orion (for Artemis 2 and beyond) will have our digital camera and lidar onboard to automate docking with other vehicles. My scrum team works on the mid-level timing and control apps that drive those systems.7/2022: Excited to start my new adventure working at Lockheed Martin Space on the Orion CM -- the spacecraft that will return humans to the moon and eventually travel to Mars.12/2015: I managed 2 software development teams at 3M and loved it. I am passionate about quality and productivity. My focus is on removing negative distractions (ie, making work more enjoyable) for the engineers that report to me -- allowing them to get down to the business of engineering.I'm very proud to have worked directly on such excellent, widely-used products as Windows 7, Microsoft Outlook, MS Project and Dell PowerEdge Servers and indirectly on MS Word, Windows Media Player and many versions of Windows.I'm also proud to have served in the US Peace Corps from 2004-2007.
