I enter into a number of short- and long-term contracts with editors and publishers and either pitch story ideas or take on assignments. Additionally, I tackle editing projects from time-to-time, namely assisting scholars with their academic papers.I've also written one book, "A Labor of Love" (about a long-defunct car company called Franklin) and contributed to another book that delved into meditative techniques.

In later years, I used the Internet to provide updated information via Twitter and corresponding websites. Early in my career with NOW, I composed a column, covered stories for thematic inserts and performed an assortment of editing tasks, primarily for reader submissions. NOW is also known as Community Newspapers Inc. (CNI).
