Let's create Green Actioneers, a practical, worldwide, family-powered, school-centered MOVEMENT for a sustainable Planet. We'll start in North America with elementary and K-8 school Family Nights, presented by a "green-hearted parent." Families go through our 246-page "Green Actioneers Family Action Guide," take it home with them and work to save energy, water and money. Think of our distribution like Scholastic Book Fair, but with only one book. We give a free digital book to every family.After a school gets started they can organize girls, boys and parents into "Scouting for the 21st Century" To keep families moving there is a chart on a prominent wall in the school where families can put up a sticky note every time they take an action from the book. Weekly Sunday 2PM EST Zoom meeting will keep the program moving. We plan to take the program worldwide ASAP to help families everywhere "go green." In our program a "green-hearted" parent or community volunteer convenes Green Actioneers Family Night in the evening where kids and parents get our 8 1/2" X 11" Activity Book detailing 108 actions to reduce carbon and water footprints. The book has a two-page spread in English and Spanish for each action, a coloring book feature for younger kids, word games for older students a "Where's Waldo?" feature and quotes from famous people. 1. We give free digital books to every family so they can participate regardless of finances. 2. Families save money with lower electric and water bills; 3. Kids get recognition for their "green Actions;" 4. Schools can help finance their Green Team with rebates from local "green" businesses based on actions by families. What we are doing was done with recycling, littering, seat belt use, anti-smoking. For about 30 minutes families go through the Guide together in a fun and interactive way. Next we either form a Green Team or strengthen your existing Green Team with volunteers. Each family goes home with a 266 page Green Actioneers Family Action Guide with over 100 actions they can take toward sustainability. Their next step is to let everyone know through social media how well they are doing, and to help create a "snowball effect" as the program moves from school to school helping families everywhere save energy, water and money, and help insure EarthDay everyday everyone everywhere!We can do this folks! PresenterThe Climate Project 2007 - PresentI was trained in January 2007 by Al Gore to present his slide show. I modified that slide show to eliminate the gloom and doom and to emphasize solutions. My passion is working with elementary students and their parents and teachers to help them to take specific actions to reduce their carbon and water footprints.

Founder And DirectorClimate Change Is Elementary 2007 - 2019We created a one-day program for bringing climate awareness to entire elementary schools including teachers and parents It was called Climate Change is Elementary. The idea was to go from AWARENESS to ADVOCACY for elementary students, their parents and teachers. I presented this program successfully in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Colorado.However the program only worked in states where everyone believed that the climate was changing and that people were responsible. So we transformed the program to Green Actioneers and made it easy for a school to start and continue the program without an outside presenter by creating a 266 page book in place of the two-sided checklist that we had formerly passed out to families.

Our Foundation, Juggling for Success, presented instructional programs for adults and children in 41 states and 12 countries. During the week I could be found in schools working with kids, and on the weekends I taught large groups of adults to juggle at conferences and seminars. The spirit of this program continues in my current work where I give students and families a taste of the juggling program as part of our day together. My theme is still "get up and move so you can sit down and learn."
