I have designed and manage the Windows client fleet at Uber for a Next-Gen Windows experience using Windows Autopilot, Chef, and Intune. I have brought our Windows fleet fully beyond-corp using the latest tools and resources provided by Microsoft and AzureAD. Device provisioning is now as easy as signing into a device and grabbing a coffee.

Designed, configured, and maintained Active Directory (AD) topology, containing 8 sites, over a large geographic area in Afghanistan for three domains while accounting for unstable transmission links including wireless point-to-point links and satellite communications. Optimized the replication strategy within the three domains to fit the unique austere environment of Afghanistan, within the constraints of unreliable connections between sites (1.5mbps uplink/downlink to a site, each containing over 100+ users). Created and designed a replication and Group Policy (GPO) plan to reduce the logon times of over (300) users from various outlying sites by adapting and modifying Microsoft’s best practices – lowering logon times from 35 minutes to 5 minutes.Maintained 3 forests containing 7 domains with a total of over 13,000 client computers, 150 servers, 6,500 users, and 30 domain controllers.Involved in the migration of Microsoft Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 with over 6,000 mailboxes, 150 distribution groups, and the convergence of 3 exchange organizations into a single forest-wide exchange environment.Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including deploying remote client installations, resource reporting, and inventory management.Provided forest-level support for Active Directory, including organizational unit structuring, Group Policy Object (GPO) implementation per DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and groups and security delegation. Designed and deployed virtual server suites containing Active Directory Domain Services, Exchange 2010 Server, SQL Server 2008, and other Government and Commercial off The Shelf (GOTS / COTS) software, utilizing VMware ESX 5 in order to support military training exercises across many parts of the United States. These suites were custom designed in order to meet requests set forth by each military unit with a different criteria of requirements ranging from: user, software, network, storage, and government-specific software requirements.Selected to join a small team of professionals who developed and successfully carried out a Data Center upgrade project with rigorous requirements and time-constraints. The upgrade involved replacing 30 physical servers and migrating existing services to a virtualized server cluster (VMware ESX 5), replacing and upgrading backup power systems, replacing all network cables, and the addition of a FibreChannel SAN device for integration with VMware to support backup and redundancy. This project was successfully accomplished within only one night, without any interruption of services to users.Installed, designed and maintained Microsoft services including: Exchange 2010 Messaging, SQL 2008 Database Services, SharePoint 2010, and various Government designed software systems.Designed and scripted Microsoft PowerShell solutions for Active Directory and Exchange Server.
