A highly experienced and certified technical manager, network & solution architect, certified security specialist (CISSP) and programme & project manager capable of building and managing virtual and global team environments.I have extensive experience of actively managing; IT transformation, prequalification, procurement, network design, service benchmarking & development and implementation projects.I am currently employed as Technical Services Manager, for IT, on a mine in the DRC, the jewel in Glencore’s copper/cobalt business.As the go-to man for all technical challenges on the mine I head up architectural design and service support for networking, systems and infosec, supporting service delivery and the non-office technology that operate the mine (SCADA etc.). I was previously an Infrastructure Consultant with assignments for several top British companies under my belt; covering software development projects to data centre build to global WAN infrastructure projects and more. As well as managing project for international companies across Africa and Europe. Prior to my move into consultancy, I worked as a strategic global architect and as a senior IT manager within a number of industry sectors, dealing primarily with the design and deployment of complex data network systems and solutions.I have over 35 years experience of managing IT systems & services and the processes and procedures that are needed for smooth deployment and operation.I was one of the first IT Architects in the UK to be certified by the BCS.I see myself as a ‘Company Man’, giving my all to my employer, working the hours that are necessary, as you would expect at this level.
