I also love football (soccer), trail running, the outdoors - especially in beautiful Ticino where I now live with my love (she's my 8th wonder of the world) – and the Mediterranean sea including the cultures of the people who live on its coasts.I am Boom's founder and majority stakeholder and we help progressive CEOs to boost their business growth. Together, we move fast and search for effective ways to get stronger in everything we do. Our CEO Study, in partnership with HubSpot, became a big milestone for Boom in 2022. It put us on the map internationally at an early stage of our company's history. We also got deeper insights into the challenges CEOs face in their initiatives that drive business growth. They usually evolve around Hiring, Sales and Marketing. We are certain that all of these fields benefit greatly from a radical focus on the real needs and wants of the people a business aims to attract. We are also convinced that, while almost every business leader would agree with the statement, most companies still have huge business potential in that area.CEOs and entrepreneurs have always aimed to drive the growth of their business - revenue, profit and valuation. Today, a growing number of leaders also desire to boost customer satisfaction, the workforce’s happiness or the positive impact the company has on society. It’s the era of the purpose, “the Why” (Simon Sinek) or of being “deeply passionate” as a company (Jim Collins). Jim Collins (in Good To Great) also famously stated that greatness starts with the Who (not the What). Another crucial statement that many leaders agree with and then... putting this insight into practice seems to be underrated. The balancing act with all of these requirements makes our era an incredibly interesting time for doing business.Earlier in my life, I was a junior banker who then studied journalism and became a business writer (finance, investments) at Switzerland’s two largest media houses. In the 14 years as a freelancer after that, I was a journalist who turned marketer over the years and found inspiration mainly in the USA while I kept operating mainly in Europe. I also lived in and worked from Cairo (Egypt) for some time.Ultimately, all of this has led me to become the visionary innovator for what CEOs need in order to drive business growth. Founder & Ceo, Services For CeosContentsuccess Jul 2017 - Apr 2023ContentSuccess Media GmbH provided content marketing services and was a laboratory – initially with the aim to figure out the business model for content marketing done right outside of the USA (the USA were far ahead, Europe in deep sleep). I worked with several great mentors from the US and we used the Lean Startup and Continuous Innovation frameworks (taught by one of them, Ash Maurya) to move forward. Such a journey typically comes with pivots based on insights gained using the scientific method – and that was true for ContentSuccess. The most remarkable pivot was the one from serving content marketers to focusing solely on serving CEOs. Once that was decided, further steps then led from serving CEOs offering content marketing services to offering marketing services (broader range) and to then moving to offering services that help with business growth, which had us add the fields of sales and people performance to our scope of services. We also supported the CEO of the Green Liberal Party of Switzerland in the very successful 2019 elections – delivering the online marketing element. After pivoting to a) CEOs and b) away from content marketing as the area of sole focus, ContentSuccess wasn't the right brand name anymore. We started doing business as Boom. The CEO Study 2022 (https://boom.ceo/ceo-study-2022/, published in partnership with HubSpot) became a first big milestone for this brand. It's our original research into the challenges CEOs face when it comes to driving business growth. -

I was the founding editor-in-chief of "management" (the magazine of The Swiss Management Association, smg.ch, serving 1000+ CEOs and C-suite leaders. Other big mandates included working for Raiffeisen Switzerland (bank) and responsAbility (Swiss asset manager investing in Emerging Economies). The big development during this stage of my career was the advent of content marketing as a new thing which converted my profession and handicraft (corporate publishing, brand publishing – writing outstanding articles for corporate media like client magazines) from what was widely considered a cost center into a profit center. Those were the times when companies needed to become better in using social media and had to figure out how to be publishers and use their owned media channels wisely – a process that is ongoing until today. Joe Pulizzi, the godfather of content marketing and founder of the Content Marketing Institute (Cleveland, USA) became the most influential person in my business life. Note that I became one of his co-authors of the book "The Content Entrepreneurs" (2024, by Joe Pulizzi & Friends). Content marketing was now suddenly a field of work that helped driving business growth, generating interest from potential customers and clients. Paradise! What a boost. Except that my Swiss clients at the time didn't want to be ahead of the curve. But that's what I wanted to be and I renamed Promoganda GmbH to ContentSuccess Media GmbH to focus on content marketing services done the right way.
