A Chartered Accountant I have held senior roles in Finance, Customer Service, Operations, Sales & Marketing in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.As part of the leadership team at DHKN I engage with the business community across the West to communicate the skills, ability and client-focus of one of Ireland's largest independent professional services firms.I use my skills and experience to work with a wide range of clients of all sizes helping owners and senior management improve their skills in finance, strategy or marketing, with the goal of improving financial, operational and customer performance.I believe in equipping organisations with the tools they need to identify goals, develop strategies, monitor progress and adjust, before getting out of their way as they power ahead.My aim is to improve the capability of a business team so that it can drive improved performance for the long-term, not just the duration of an assignment.This can include mentoring senior executives; coaching or training individuals and teams; or engagement on specific, time-bound projects but always with the aim of developing individuals or teams.I have led the turn-around of struggling sectors or businesses, most recently transforming a long-time loss-maker to a leaner, profitable growth business in a declining market. For 12 years I was CEO of a local media group expanding it from print to include radio and digital platforms as well as leading it back to profitability and revenue growth despite a declining market. I volunteer with Galway Chamber to help promote business in Galway and throughout the West of Ireland.I deliver negotiation skills, business planning and sales development training for a wide range of organisations.
