Will drive for and audit safety, environmental and other regulatory compliance's required on plant equipment and systems.Manage, track and analyze engineering expense and capital budgeting to ensure compliance.Manage resources to ensure the proper design, installation, modification, and maintainability of new and existing plant equipment, buildings and facilities.Manage the necessary engineering and maintenance support to the production organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.• Ensure safety, environmental and other regulatory compliances by working with appropriate associates on EHS issues, following the implementation of CTI's, and continually improving the communication across all relevant departments.• Manage multidisciplinary engineering services, equipment selection and procurement; provide administrative services, program coordination, budgeting and control of operating expenditures in support of plant engineering.• Manage cost estimates, financially justify project, prepare budgets, review design, and manage resources to ensure proper installation and commissioning of equipment.• Continuously drive solutions that reduce costs including: labor, parts, contractors and operating items.• Facilitate contractor management process and periodically audit contractor's work to ensure that safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed

This position is responsible for all manufacturing engineering functions. Will provide and implement world class manufacturing methodology to include tool and process design specification, estimates and related engineering data pertinent to the achievement of the most economical development and manufacture of automotive products, methods and time standards, and facilities engineering.•Develops and recommends proposals to improve manufacturing methods directed at the reduction of manufacturing costs to achieve profit goals and marketing objectives.•Formulates and guides projects to accomplish maximum production through effective utilization of manufacturing resources.•Plans and conducts investigative studies on excessive production costs and initiates, implements, and guides cost reduction programs.Provides assistance and recommendations to resolve engineering and technical problems.•Prepare annual Capital Budget.•Foster continuous improvement activities in areas of engineering investment and customer satisfaction and document for validation.•Plan and prepare the entire organization for leading edge engineering technologies to be implemented into production.•Oversee safety initiatives.•Review Cost Information Request prepared by the Engineering and Costing groups.•Works with Production and Quality Management to establish best practices in manufacturing.

• Manage a team of three prototype technicians and with a 50% increase in sample orders and no additional manpower, maintained the goal of 90+% on-time delivery performancesfor the past two years. • Perform Engineering Manager and Product Launch functions in their absence.• All gasket design work was brought in house with the first year savings of $95,000 as a result of mentoring and training the three CAD designers.• Reduced material test pilot run backlog by 93% as a result of extensive rubber compound and processing knowledge.• With 11+ years of product development experience, over 50% of all new product designs have been submitted for redesign to satisfy DFM/DFA.

• Developed the new product launch model for the facility.• Managed in excess of 200 new product launches for both the LaGrange, GA and Querétaro, Mexico facilities representing over $20 Million in sales revenue.• Launched over 60 new products representing sales revenue in excess of $6 Million with 98% completed on time, within resource and capital budgets.• Chaired the teams that won all of the Siemens Pisa fuel system business and two Bosch Diesel sealing packages representing a total of 35 new parts and over $12 Million in additional sales revenue.• Fashioned the two sample lab technicians into a self-directed team that improved on-time sample delivery to 100%.• Worked closely with the materials manager developing over 20 new rubber compounds that addressed vision system part presence issues at Delphi, Siemens, Visteon and Bosch.
