GTE is a private investment firm that works with a group of entrepreneurial operators looking to individually acquire, operate, and grow privately held businesses.

MedControl developed a secure, timed-release medication dispenser with biometric verification that deters patients from abusing prescription opioids and third-party access. As a founder of the company, I performed core startup activities including designing and manufacturing the device, forming partnerships with healthcare providers and pharmacies, executing pilot studies, fundraising, and developing the business model.

Careform is a technology platform and service provider that facilitates patient access to specialty pharmaceuticals used to treat complex conditions such as cancer. I joined Careform (named Proximedics at the time) while completing my MBA. During this formative stage of the company, we were able to bootstrap our first product and successfully acquire a large pharmaceutical company as our first customer. My work primarily consisted of designing and implementing a software development life cycle process that was consistent with the pharmaceutical industry. Careform proceeded to experience rapid growth and was acquired by ConnectiveRx in November of 2017.

Accel develops a disposable, point of care heart failure diagnostic device that quantifies the cardiac biomarker brain natriuretic peptide in blood. I helped Accel with business model development, prepared materials for investor pitches and SBIR grant submissions, and wrote a provisional patent application for an associated mobile application.

Medica develops and manufactures easy-to-use in-vitro diagnostic devices designed for small to medium-sized laboratories and medical practices. I joined Medica as an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer after college and was progressively promoted to Quality Manager, where I reported to the CEO. Medica is a relatively small, nimble organization that provided me an accelerated learning opportunity where I worked with and made contributions to multiple functional areas of the business.Broadly, Quality Management consisted of improving the state of Medica’s Quality Management System, building high-performing Quality Control teams, implementing a robust supplier quality program, and ensuring compliance as we expanded product lines and increased sales.

My manufacturing roles were broad in nature and included making several improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment, and the medical devices themselves. I followed through with these changes from engineering and design to implementation via documented testing, validation, and training.
