Technical project management lead for Marmot Basin to deliver a new responsive website and launch an e-commerce platform using RTPOne eStore.

The basis of the role was to providing team leadership, technical guidance and project engineering assistance to the UNIX Infrastructure team. Within this timeframe I also completed a number of decommissioning and migration projects to reduce operation hosting costs, co-ordinated the successful commissioning a new storage array to provide much needed capacity for existing and new projects and successfully launched a new asset repository system to provide an accurate baseline of all physical assets across UK and US datacentres.

Provided platform architecture design and delivery of the FT.com technology refresh in the UK and US. This involved a green field Solaris platform design employing extensive virtualisation to maximise investment in technology, minimise datacentre footprint and provide an agile platform delivery mechanism to scale out environments to meet product and site demands.

Successfully delivered 6 month consolidation and decommissioning of HP-UX systems across 5 sites UK wide to realise hardware and software cost savings.

The initial phase of the contract was to deliver SUN and HP-UX systems clustered systems. The latter phase was to provide build standards and process for HP-UX.

The latter time in this role was spent delivering architecture and build standards for Red Hat Linux and to provide technical consultancy and implementation for a major datacentre relocation programme.
