Primary duties include the fielding and updating of latest hardware and software to support RFID and barcode technologies pertaining to Windows XP, CE and SOLARIS operating Systems. Frequently troubleshoot Consumer Off the Shelf Computer systems, Hand Held Barcode and RFID Scanners and WIFI-enabled devices. Work with military computer systems technicians setting up routers and switches required for barcode hardware. Use and develop scripts to enable the stream lining of software installations. Use disk imaging software to perform backups and restore as necessary. Frequently update and troubleshoot Windows XP and Vista Operating Systems. Update status reports and logistical databases using Microsoft Office. Provide support for a wide variety of database systems supported by the Army. Travel frequently to support the current baseline and upgrades as required by SEC-LEE and PMLIS.
