• Led design and implementation of a project to white-label an existing product for use with 3rd party applications. Developed workflow that consisted of utilizing Auth0 for SSO and an event driven RESTful API service for data transfer.• Implemented a proof of concept for a highly available messaging system utilizing API Gateway, SQS and Lambdas.

During this time, I contributed to a large team working on a C# ASP.NET project that provides online administrative tools for private K-12 schools. I worked closely with quality assurance, product and implementation teams to complete development tasks within a sprint-based agile development process which included ticket estimation, sprint planning, daily standups, code reviews and retrospective meetings. I was responsible for the design and implementation of all front end, back end, database and unit test work work required to complete my assigned tasks, some of which included:• Worked with a remote cross-product team to architect, design and implement a new event driven standardized integration API to share data and achieve an integrated user experience between any number of education based service providers.• Refactored existing integration with our ColdFusion project to improve reliability and maintainability.• Proactively solved a development overhead issue by implementing an auto-merge feature in TeamCity to keep our Git branches in sync without developer assistance.

During this time, I contributed to a small team working on a ColdFusion project that provides online school management system tools for private K-12 schools. I worked closely with quality assurance, product and implementation teams to investigate product defects and identify product improvements. I was responsible for the design and implementation of all front end, back end and database work required to complete my assigned tasks, some of which included:• Rebuilt module used by teachers and school administrators for managing their parent communications into a simulated single page app experience using JQuery and Ajax. • Led a three person project to redesign the parent facing module to be responsive and mobile friendly using Bootstrap.• Discovered and fixed a major issue in our GPA calculation while resolving a long standing customer support issue by designing an interactive user interface that showed how a student’s GPA was calculated.

During this time, I worked as an engineering support specialist to assist customers with installation and maintenance of the large electric motor and generators manufactured at our plant. I was responsible for providing phone and on-site technical troubleshooting as well as sales and project management of repair contracts. Our customers were frequently losing thousands of dollars per day when their equipment was down, so this was a high stress environment. I worked with customers, engineers and manufacturing personnel to complete my assigned tasks, some of which included:• Procurement, project management and installation oversight of a 1.4 million dollar repair contract for a nuclear power generation plant.• Managed operational schedule of six field service engineers who traveled world-wide to assist customers with onsite installation and troubleshooting.
