Reports to the Vice President of Operations. Responsibilities include managing and participating in all phases of Manufacturing Engineering; liaison between engineering, manufacturing, quality control and purchasing in the planning and coordination of all production activities and resolution of production issues.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Works closely with the US supplier base in reference to all tooling for injection molding, die casting, stamping, machining to insure all tools are maintained and necessary updates are made to quality control standards.• Confers with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and quality control in reference to engineering change orders and how they will affect manufacturing.• Works very closely with engineering, manufacturing and all other support departments concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.• Estimates production times, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.• Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities.• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and software interfaces. Hands on experience strong Creo,.• Hands on experience with tool room equipment, such as lathes and milling machines• Use mechanical and electrical measuring devices used for incoming inspections and in process inspections.• Familiar with First Piece Inspection, Discrepant Material Review, Engineering Change Orders and Deviations.• Reliable, good problem solving skills and use own initiative in performance of duties.• Travel to our Manufacturing plant in Pennsylvania as required.

Currently using Creo 5.0 for 3D modeling. Providing support Sustaining Engineering of Blender Products. Upgrading motors and fan assemblies in units and additional corrective actions as required. Extensive work with Creo assembly structures and release of production drawings. Creating test parts using 3D printers and evaluating test results. Providing Design and Engineering support to Product Production and new product development. Working on product enhancements to other Waring commercial Products. Work very closely and collaboratively with Product Managers to develop product improvements for Panni, Waffle, Water boilers, chocolate melter and and coffee makers to provide product improvements.
