David was Chairman, CEO, and founder of CommonBond for 10 years, a leading financial technology company based in New York, offering a suite of financial solutions to consumers and enterprises. The company scaled to $5 billion in originations, 1 million users, and 1000s of corporate clients nationwide. In late 2022, David led the sale of company assets. Investors included Social Capital, Tribeca Venture Partners, and Neuberger Berman, among others.David currently serves as strategic consultant, advisor, and board member to organizations across sectors including Fintech, Climate, Health, and Media & Entertainment (among others). In the last couple of years, David has helped companies stand up successful new business lines, create highly effective operating plans, design optimal organizational structures, and raise capital. David also acts as executive coach to founders/CEOs on a wide range of topics.David is a 2017 Ernst & Young New York "Entrepreneur of the Year" award winner. In 2018, his company was named to Fast Company's "50 Most Innovative Companies in the World". And through 2019, his company made the "Inc 5000" list, as one of the fastest growing private companies in America.Previously a board member at the Bronx Charter School for the Arts, David currently serves on the board at the LIFE Skills Foundation, an organization that helps foster care youth transition to independent adulthood, and on the board at Founders Pledge, an organization that helps founders pledge to charities that reflect their values.
