I'm a creative, passionate Software Engineer with over a decade of experience in the industry. My skill-set is, however, a bit unique as I've also been involved in many projects as a UI Designer and Graphic Artist. I have the abilities help business people solve problems and connect to their target audiences from all ends of the software spectrum; whether it's baseline architecture, middle-tier business rules or just simply a website face-lift, I'm the guy you are looking for.To back up a bit, I've been a highly technical individual since my childhood. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to start programming courses in High School, starting with PASCAL and onto C++, giving me a great advantage as I moved through college eventually getting my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems in 2002. Throughout most of my career I've worked on the server side of things; mostly OOP with C# and a little bit of VB.NET peppered in here and there. As of the last several years, I've focused on writing lightweight and intuitive client-based software utilizing Javascript libraries such as JQuery, KendoUI and Knockout.js on top of the latest versions of .NET.My alternate passion lies in art and music, where I've played guitar/vocals in (moderately) successful hard rock bands in Chicago during the mid to late 2000's. This is also when I picked up my Graphic Design skills creating marketing material with Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Illustrator). I've also dabbled in band promotion and charities as I've set up events for organizations such as The National Breast Cancer Foundation and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.During the course of my career I have several amazing opportunities from systems development in the printing industry to writing pro-sports websites while making many great friends along the way.
