I create work orders for the purpose of supporting Manufacturing Engineering in an effort to get components and tooling made in house. I also close out work orders after they are no longer needed. I assist various department personnel in the movement of components and assemblies to the proper stockrooms as they await to be used by assembly personnel. I create a weekly part status report for supervision that documents scheduled dates for in house component manufacturing.

Types of changes include but not limited to required modifications of unintentional violations that if left alone could contaminate the quality of the juice product.Responsible for accurately documenting raw materials for the purpose of maintaining good communication with company partners in Brazil. Work closely with senior engineering staff to provide professional assistance in any way needed.Spent a great deal of time over 6 months working on a configuration of juice extractor for Chik-Fil-A. Worked closely with senior engineer to design required specifications per customers desires. Made a large assortment of 3D models from existing AutoCAD Assemblies and components. Put together requested print packages for quoting purposes and made needed changes per vendor requests. Responsible for many of the processes required in the manufacture of sheet metal products for customers located throughout the United States. These responsibilities include the programming and nesting of components cut out by laser. Creating turret programs for Amada, Coma and Pega machines. Designing go/no go gages. Layout and design of welding fixtures to hold large round tubing railing assemblies. Creation and maintanance of shop floor travelers, calculating operation set-up and run times. Modify current designs and make detail drawings for components and assemblies used in an existing power plant. Have also worked on the creation and modification of electrical schematics used to power the entire system. Create design of components and assemblies in the manufacture of hospital grade sterilizers. Much experience in sheet metal design. Sheet metal designs included large amount of outer paneling and bracketry used for the mounting of inner equipment. Some experience in ordering purchase parts (writing purchase orders, etc.).Moderate experience (about 6 months) in piping assemblies within the sterilizers. This experience is as a result of working close with more experienced designers and engineers who helped familiarize myself with how our products work. Worked in a small group setting to eliminate old-fashioned manifold systems within the piping package. These old assemblies were replaced by a new design consisting of a series of flex hoses that were more efficient and cost effective. Participated greatly (individually and within a group) to redesign existing rack assemblies used for holding equipment going into the sterilizers. Lended support in the design and drafting of state of the art loading carts that loaded medical devices into the unit for the purpose of sterilization. A tremendous amount of experience in learning Getinge's EC process that added new part numbers into the system and revised part numbers of existing components and assemblies.Software Used: Inventor (version 9) 2D AutoCad

Created battery component and assembly drawings for the purpose of fabricating primary and rechargeable batteries for the military.Layout and detailing of required tooling designs through re-engineering process. Lead drafter in engineering change efforts. Helped maintain company drawing requirements by working as a checker within the department. (Checking efforts were done on a rotating basis among myself and 4 other designers in the department).
