Engineer as well as assist with the deployment of Riverbed’s WAN- Optimization (WAN-OP) and Network/Application Performance Monitoring NPM/APM) solutions for customers with enterprise networks of all sizes in all sectors, to include financial, health, and government. Assist with the assessment of customers’ business critical applications to ensure optimal performance while seeking to lower customer overhead, including determining the feasibility and process needed to migrate applications to a cloud-based solution. Use multiple third-party tools and services, such as CloudEndure, Amazon AWS, and NetApp private cloud storage, in order to engineer cloud and hybrid-cloud based solutions.

Deploys, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mission critical voice, data, and video services. Utilizes tools such as NetQoS, CiscoWorks and Orion SolarWinds. Team lead for Big-IP F5 GTM/LTM load balancing solution. Team lead for the WAN Optimization project to include the installation, configuration, and training for Riverbed Cascade Profiler, Interceptors, CMC, and Stealheads. Working knowledge and experience with concepts such as VLANs, routing protocols, port security, TACACs+, and SNMP.

Managed a LAN segment consisting of six servers including; one DNS, one DHCP, two proxy, and two file/print servers. Managed and maintained over 100 Windows XP and 20+ Mac client workstations. Researched, deployed, and maintained a Windows Software Update Services (WSUS) Server that provided updates to over 300 Windows based hosts on a domain. Researched, deployed, and maintained a course management website (Moodle) that provided interactive online resources for students. Trained and advised staff and faculty on how to use technology in an educational setting. Maintained the highest statewide average of students who successfully passed the CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications.

Supervised the deployment, installation, operation, and maintenance of network switching systems and associated transmission systems valued in excess of $4 million. Graduated Basic Supervision course in top 10% of class. Performed trunk testing through systematic loopback tests to detect, isolate, and repair faults in the network. Provided packet switching capabilities for LAN subscribers. Integrated network encryption systems, combat radio interfaces, and video teleconferencing into the network for additional support for subscribers. Directly supervised and trained switch technicians.
