As a Tiltrotor Instructor Pilot was responsible for training student pilots from the Marine Corps and Air Force to fly the MV-22B Osprey so that they may go on to deploying MV-22B and CV-22 units.As the Quality Assurance Officer I was directly responsible to the Aviation Maintenance Officer and the Commanding Officer to provide a systematic and efficient method for gathering, analyzing, and maintaining information on the quality characteristics of products, the source and nature of defects, and their immediate impact on the current operation. Specific functions of my position include but are not limited to the following:-Improve the quality, uniformity, and reliability of the total maintenance effort. -Improve the work environment, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance effort. -Eliminate unnecessary man-hour and dollar expenditures. -Improve training, work habits, and procedures of maintenance personnel. -Increase the excellence and value of reports and correspondence originated by maintenance personnel. -Perform inspections of all maintenance equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations. Check for the existence of satisfactory environmental conditions within the work spaces and that equipment is maintained in a safe operating condition. Check that equipment operator qualifications and proper training for licensing are maintained.-Collect data from maintenance reporting systems to identify trend recurring failure areas or other maintenance problems and take action to improve performance.-Ensure established standard procedures are observed for conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections, ground tests, and bench checks of components, including engines.

Responsible to the Commanding Officer for the prevention of workplace violence. -Managed 7 individual maintenance programs which were all on track during a bi-annual Marine Aviation Logistics Audit.-Passed a surprise federal Environmental Protection Agency inspection and received no discrepancies.-Increased maintenance qualifications and licensing in my divisions at a rate nearly 200% faster than the previous year.

Responsible for planning, developing and maintaining effective monthly and weekly training and operations calendars for a squadron of 27 aircraft and over 550 Marines and Sailors. Maintain the currency and proficiency of individual pilot certifications, qualifications and designations for 25 MV-22B Osprey Pilots. -Coordinated the aviation training plan for 2 separate month long multinational training exercises in Morocco and Jordan with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit.-Created 12 monthly and 52 weekly operations plans synchronizing the operational posture of the squadron.-Managed 6 daily schedule writers in the production of 336 Daily Flight Schedules.-Maintained training and readiness proficiency for 25 MV-22B Osprey pilots.

Responsible for coordinating and executing all non-aviation annual and pre-deployment training for a squadron of over 550 Marines.-Trained over 550 Marines in 50 separate training events at 5 different military installations ensuring 100% mission readiness during pre-deployment training. -Managed 9 separate programs and received a mission capable rating with no discrepancies on each during a bi-annual Commanding General’s Readiness Inspection.

Responsible for the leadership, development and welfare of a team of intelligence analysts and for providing real time hostile threat analysis for an MV-22B squadron of 12 aircraft and over 220 Marines. Responsible for coordinating squadron special events and for managing the special events budget.-Coordinated 2 intelligence update briefs per day over the course of a 255 day deployment to Afghanistan.-Set up and managed a distribution hub for hundreds of care packages sent monthly to Helmand Province, Afghanistan for deployed Marines and Soldiers who were operating in remote regions.
