CurrentThe bulk of my professional career has been spent at Chromatic. I joined the team as a Partner in 2011, and as an owner of a growing team, I have held many roles.Executive leadership* As the CEO, I am responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company. (Defining the bullseye; “if we hit this mark, we are successful.”) Leading, aligning, and motivating the executives and directors toward achieving the strategic vision. Providing clarity, decision-making, and support to the team in achieving our strategic vision through setting objectives and key results (OKRs). Stewarding the culture of Chromatic for our team and our clients.Sales and business growth* I have consistently been involved in sales for Chromatic, ranging from small $10,000 engagements to million-dollar projects.Finances and operations* In 2013, I assumed responsibility for all of our business operations and finances. Chromatic is headquartered in Chicago, IL, but does not have any formal offices. We have employees spread across the United States and numerous international team members. I ensure that we are compliant everywhere that we operate.* I manage our accounting, bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, etc. I have continued to implement best practices and standards for our financial success. I have ensured that Chromatic has never had debt and that we maintain a healthy cash reserve.Human resources and recruiting* As part of the growth of the company, I led the effort to establish an employee handbook, the introduction and addition of benefits (healthcare, 401k, etc), and recruiting of top-tier talent.Development and product owner* My early work was primarily for State Farm Insurance, building an enterprise platform for recruitment and agent training. This role evolved over the years to a product ownership and system architecture role.
