In this role much was accomplished in a short period of time. I led the design, development and delivery of one of the newest solutions in intravenous and subcutaneous insulin dosing software, analytics, HL7 and EMR integrations. Key to this success was 510K clearance filed and approved for this application. Developing relationships with the Medical Advisory Board and establishing and managing Pilot sites for new releases was critical to our success.

Successfully opening a new office for Fujifilm in North Carolina (NC) was a rewarding experience. We brought 100 new jobs to the area and changed the culture of software development toward agile methodologies for third-generation platform Medical IT solutions. Key to this position was leading the team and bridging the gap between clinical experts and developers, turning business needs in to technical requirements. My team successfully deployed the first working version of the product to a Beta site and with various partners with a limited market release within 24 months. Synapse 5 is considered the fastest, most highly functional PACS in the market today.

I travelled extensively in this role to bolster markets where I had previously been tasked with introducing Synapse PACS, as well as identifying and entering new markets. During this time, global Synapse software licensing revenue grew 15% annually. Synapse expanded installations in Russia, Mexico and Italy, while new markets were opened in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Thailand and India. With my leadership and assistance on RFP responses, OEM agreements and product demonstrations, FFUK secured the “All Wales” tender for PACS/VNA/3D which to date was the largest single IT win in Fujifilm history.

This was an internal transition as the Product Manager for Synapse in Stamford CT development center to drive the Medical IT department on the path needed to stay competitive in a fast-changing market. Identified and integrated 3rd party solutions to fill product gaps through OEM and development agreements. Synapse was successfully launched in the US Market under my leadership and is distributed and subsequently released and supported globally from the US offices. Because of my efforts in this role, Synapse PACS 4.0 was released, which represented an overhaul in the User Interface and component design to support further expansions.
