CurrentProgressive arts organization focusing on visual arts."ArtOrg impacts individuals and communities through visual arts projects and events primarily centered in the print, with public art, commissioned work, and experiential-based education initiatives."ArtOrg has produced over 12 projects that feature collaborations between artists, and these projects have created over 100 artworks (some in multiples). Over half of these works now reside in collections of Weisman and Plains art museums. ArtOrg has performed a small steamroller printing event over 140 times in the last 7 years for over 10,000 kids and adults. A project called "Children's Gift to Norway" reprinted 1500 of the blocks into a 5000-square-foot work that was featured in the journal Public Art Review.ArtOrg is renovating a 9000-square-foot facility in Cannon Falls, Minnesota to include living spaces, office, art-making studios and exhibition gallery. Our facility is immediately next to a long bike trail, river rapids, restaurants, brew pub and winery.
