This role saw me responsible for all marketing activities, in particular marketing Octaform across North America and creating marketing plans to break into new international markets. I was responsible for a number of marketing staff during this time and collectively we delivered a number of key projects. These included: - undertaking a corporate and product brand identity refresh- redesign or creation of all printed marketing collateral- redevelopment of the Octaform website - Octaform's first steps into social media All strategic and design work was completed in-house by me or my colleagues. By the end of my year at Octaform, the business was on track to double the sales revenue of the previous financial year.

Creo was a PR agency based in Wellington and Auckland, New Zealand. Arriving as a junior consultant fresh out of university, I quickly showed my aptitude in writing for, and liaising with, the media. In the two years I was at Creo I worked with a wide variety of clients including Telecom New Zealand, Masterpet, Mighty River Power and as a speech writing resource for the then Governor General of New Zealand, Anand Satyanand. This was where I also gained my first exposure to branding and strategy as we provided broader communications advice to a number of our clients. In my second year at Creo I was placed on six week secondment to the marketing team of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, where I helped develop a new pricing strategy for their tiered membership benefits scheme. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Creo. As my first job it gave me a whole host of professional skills, including the ability to think strategically about client problems.
