Audentes Fortuna iuvat (fortune favors the bold) My life burns with a deep passion for both coffee and music.Alongside my endless love for quality coffee, I have a lifetime connection to music. Starting my training at two and classically trained on cello since at age three, music is in my blood for life. Incorporating the drums at age ten, my interests changed gears to modern music and led me to complete a Bachelor's degree for Jazz performance on the drum set and modern percussion at the prestigious Towson University. After graduating, I made a career plunge into Chicago's Jazz and experimental scene where I went on to establish two progressive drumming styles and genres, Junglebop and Freespazz. IZM Records was launched in order to promote and market my burgeoning studio discography within several working, recording & touring projects. SPIZM, a Chicago-based drums and bass duo est. in 2003 is actively recording and releasing music on IZM Records. Combining my love for a freshly roasted cup of coffee, a relentlessly driven work ethic, and strong inter-personal communications and organizing skills, I aim to build upon my experience and knowledge within Specialty coffee. My long-term dream is to open a coffee house with roastery, music venue and bar, where all of my passions can equally shine.
