Provide direct support to Joint Staff Training Division and leverage eLearning by conducting joint, multi-national and combined training. Primary developer of Blended Learning Training Packages (BLTP) designed to support Combatant Command (CCMD) individual training in preparation for Joint and combined exercises. To include, co-development of Small Group Scenario Training (SGST) designed to enhance Joint Staff functional and mission specific expertise. Assist observer trainers in crafting input to after action reviews, analyzing organizational performance as a result of a wide range of training events, to include academic seminars, operational maneuvers and simulation driven training. Provide written products to support observer collection plans as well as systemic and functional lessons learned. These lessons learned are applicable to current and emerging joint operational procedures and serve as the basis for future training requirements and to enhance joint force headquarters readiness.

Integrated a 1,200 person staff coordinating the operations of 53K military and civilian employees at 33 schools and centers distributed across 26 locations. Directly supervised over 90 personnel assigned to 10 directorates.

United States Forces – Iraq, Baghdad

Led a staff of over 190 joint, US and multinational forces and 12 diverse directorates to include Key Leader Engagements, Reconciliation, Air and Missile Defense, Counter Rocket and Mortars, Electronic Warfare, Joint Operations, Assessments, Security Agreement Secretariat, Plans and Targeting, and two large civilian contracts integrating and resourcing lethal and non-lethal combat power of 4 U.S. Divisions and 16 Separate Brigades, over 150K personnel, to achieve U.S. Government objectives by successfully supporting national and provincial elections, removing all combat forces from Iraqi cities and executing a responsible draw down.

Fort Lewis, Wa

Led a large complex organization consisting of 10 subordinate organizations totaling over 2,300 Soldiers and $275M in real property to include an $11M operating budget. Directed the establishment of one of the Army's first ever modular Fires Brigades integrating Soldiers, families, and equipment from across the country and overseas achieving all combat readiness goals ahead of schedule. Planned, prepared and trained the organization to conduct 5 separate missions in support of combat operations resulting in significant contributions to the surge in Iraq and improved security in Afghanistan. Managed 29 facilities, over 1,000 individual billeting rooms and motor pools for over 700 vehicles ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA and environmental standards. Established a large multimillion dollar Supply Support Activity warehouse to throughput all classes of supply and achieved over 90% fleet operational readiness goals.

Led, resourced and planned the successful reintegration of over 6,000 Soldiers in III Corps Artillery after initial deployments to Iraq while simultaneously supporting a deployed Headquarters element consisting of 125 personnel. Supervised logistic, maintenance, and community relations operations as well as execution of a $120M budget.

Initial Combat Operations, Iraq & Fort Sill, Ok

Successfully led, trained, planned, resourced, and deployed a 400 person, autonomous, combat arms organization into initial combat operations and follow on Stability and Support Operations in Iraq without loss of life. Effectively managed a $1M budget and responsible for operations and maintenance of organic equipment valued at over $150M.

Fort Sill, Oklahoma And Fort Hood, Texas

Served as the principle project manager and Combat developer for the Army’s Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems (FATDS) to include the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) (a $1. 2B program). Integrates Fire Support Command, Control, and Communications (FSC3) systems into the digitized battlefield. Supervised the development of the System and Operational Architecture development for the Field Artillery units and Operational Facilities. Oversaw and coordinated the activities of other Army Battlefield Command Systems (ABCS), to support testing, evaluation, analysis, training, development, and fielding of C3 systems. Coordinates and synchronizes fire support development programs to support fielding of the First Digitized Division (FDD) and the Initial and Interim Brigade Combat Teams (IBCT).

Principal assistant to the President, National Defense University. Responsible for the daily operations of the President's office to include university staff coordination, office administration, long range planning, and supervision of the personal and special staff. Chief of Plans for the Warrior Preparation Center, a joint Army and Air Force warfighter modeling and simulation center. Develops, plans, coordinates, and manages programs and actions associated with computer-assisted exercises for U.S., NATO, and other European national forces at the operational level of war. Leads staff planning and coordination meetings with unified, joint, and combined staff experts to develop training concepts, objectives and exercise design. Briefs US and NATO senior commanders and staffs on the use of models and simulations and real-world command and control systems to meet training requirements. Integrates and coordinates technical engineering plans and communications plans with operational requirements. Serves as lead Operation Officer in the exercise operations center during the execution of the exercise.

War fighting responsibilities include rapid deployment of the battalion within or outside the USEUCOM theater of operations. Responsible for all staff planning, coordination and execution with special emphasis on personnel administration and management, maintenance, and logistical readiness. Mentors and directly supervises twelve staff officers and two warrant officers. Readiness responsibilities include ensuring deployment and support requirements are met for all equipment, total value in excess of 55M dollars, 700 soldiers and their families. Be a good steward of our nation’s resources including effective, efficient management of the battalion budget of approximately $1,750,000. Be a mentor and role model for all of the leaders of the battalion.

Bosnia - Herzegovina & Baumholder, Germany

Human Resource Manager responsible for all personnel and administrative functions for a large organization of over 2,500 personnel with a multimillion dollar operating budget forward deployed as part of Implementation Force (IFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Directly managed the personnel replacement system, strength reporting, legal actions, retention, performance counseling, awards, efficiency reports, and personnel database management system (SIDPERS) for the organization. Supervised 12 staff members and Special Staff to include Chaplain, Inspector General, Staff Judge Advocate, Surgeon, Comptroller, and Public Affairs. Deployed duties included providing administrative, personnel, retention, congressional affairs, postal, and finance functions for a large adjacent base camp of 1,800 personnel located in Tuzla (East), Bosnia-Herzegovina. Developed the template for senior leaders to review all personnel, readiness, and administrative metrics in a monthly personnel readiness review format enabling them to make timely resourced informed decisions on all personnel matters.
