Hired by the business unit manager to serve as lead architect and developer for this startup subsidiary charged with creating a cloud-based plug-in service for web and mobile applications. Deployed via Amazon Web Services.Analyzed technology trends in cloud computing architectures for impact on product strategy and definition. Simplified design through stateless operation in which persistence of data exists in either a relational database or a NOSQL database. Ensured reliable operation by the deployment of the loosely coupled architectural subsystems across multiple data-centers and communication via message queues using XML or JSON formatted data.Provided for flexible implementation by isolating vendor specific elements and API frameworks to enable quick adoption in additional environments.Created REST API and supporting documentation for the cloud service.
