Worked with a spectacular NMS team, responsible for providing care and feeding of a Netcool-based event management system, monitoring a state-of-the-art, satellite-based broadband ISP infrastructure. And yes, it was designed by rocket scientists.

Responsible for building and leading an excellent team of consultants in the Western Region. Oversaw inception of the new region and subsequent delivery of 200% of revenue goals in first year. Responsible for staffing and scheduling of new projects, training and professional development of technical staff and coordination of technical pre-sales efforts. Refined project delivery methodologies to improve consistency and insure customer satisfaction.

Developed, managed and delivered projects related to enterprise management primarily using IBM Tivoli (formerly Micromuse) Netcool products. Created enterprise architectures and project plans to suit customer needs, focusing on building realistic, maintainable systems which actually solve enterprise management needs. Crafted policies, procedures and other workflow-related materials to create balanced systems balanced of technology, people and processes. Renewed Netcool Certification. Worked with the sales staff to develop new business. Successfully delivered many projects, with a consistent record of customer satisfaction.

Managed NOC staff and oversaw Tier 2 customer support and network operations for the Ricochet high-speed metropolitan-area wireless data networks, which includes over 5400 radios as well as more traditional wired IP network components. Designed next-generation network management system for monitoring the enterprise (wireless and wired) network. Developed methods for troubleshooting the radio network and created utilities for gathering and analyzing performance / status data, configuring radios, and streamlining/automating other NOC functions. Created and maintained website with processes, procedures, reference docs, as-built info, utilities and other tools to support the NOC. Handled customer escalations and coordinated field replacements and installations of radios.

Assisted with closing sales opportunities by explaining event & performance management product architecture, demonstrating products and helping customers integrate product in their own environment. Focused on web and security products (Webtop, Portal, Netcool for Security Management) in addition to the core product suite. Achieved Netcool Certification.

Began with VCloud, a managed service provider of remote network management services, several weeks after inception. Participated in creating the overall service strategy & vision. Developed service delivery & IT architectures. Facilitated first releases of service, including developing management agents. Assisted in all areas of setting up operations, including defining processes, training users, building data centers, meeting with customers, installing & conducting demonstrations, supporting customers, and occasionally cleaning the kitchen.

Developed new project business (proposals, sales calls, etc.). Successfully delivered projects in enterprise management, data center assessment, architecture, design & deployment, capacity & performance improvement and other areas.

Cofounded Northwind in July of 1994. Managed small technical staff. Developed and delivered consulting business focused on Internet/intranet infrastructure services, and other web-based projects. Merged with Centric Development in November of 1996.
