In 1997, after leaving Survina in Hanoi as General Director, he founded Geomatic Consulting International (GCI), providing survey engineering services for the Ham Thuan Hydroelectric Power Project and the My Thuan Cable-Stayed Bridge project. Since then GCI has grown to become the premier land & engineering surveying service provider in Vietnam. Over the past 28 years David has gained extensive technical and business experience on infrastructure, development and construction projects in Indochina, at FS, detailed design & implementation stages. He has provided GPS training services for GPS manufacturers in India, Bangladesh and Indonesia. The GCI group employs around 20 managers and staff, providing professional surveying & mapping services in Vietnam and the region from offices in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) & Phnom Penh.
