Telecommunication Facilities Coordinator
CurrentThe position requires a level of hands on technical expertise and management skills. The broad range of responsibilities requires an in depth knowledge of several key areas such as civil construction, electrical engineering, communications, and property management. Where new projects or challenges fall outside of this scope it is expected that a basic knowledge and an understanding of guiding principles is acquired autonomously through either education or hands on experience. The role has a heavy level of involvement with exterior contractors and suppliers who's relationship needs to be managed to ensure product delivery is as expected and to the standard of the business.• Manage and coordinate the operational maintenance of state-wide telecommunications infrastructure assets by engaging resources to ensure high levels of serviceability, site security and access• Develop and deliver capital projects related to civil construction, electrical infrastructure, physical security, and land acquisitions.• Continual vegetation management and bushfire risk mitigation• Negotiate and manage tenure, including leases, licences & titles, for telecommunications properties and customer colocation agreements• Maximise site-sharing revenue without compromising the integrity of TasNetworks telecommunications network and or TasNetworks’ ability to meet future network requirements.• Develop and continually improve efficient processes that maintain consistent service and construction standards • Procure and manage contracted services and materials to deliver on maintenance and projects requirements
