https://www.davenewright.com/I am a health care researcher who uses decision sciences methodologies to design interventions and promote policies that can improve the management of pediatric chronic diseases. 🎓 I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Medicine, a research and academic partnership between Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HPHC) and Harvard Medical School (HMS). There, I am Associate Director of the Division of Child Health Policy and Research (CHeRP) and affiliated with the Chronic Disease Research Across the Lifecourse (CoRAL). I earned my PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University with a concentration in Decision Sciences.📑 My current research agenda aims to promote the adoption of interventions, programs, and strategies to treat and prevent pediatric chronic diseases, with a focus on childhood obesity. My methodological interests include economic evaluation, conjoint analysis, simulation modeling, and risk communication. My work has been funded by the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, AHRQ, and NIH. 💡 I am on faculty in the Harvard PhD Program in Health Policy and in the Harvard-wide Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship. Within the Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM), I am the co-chair of the Decision Sciences for Child Health Collaborative, co-chaired the 2022 North American Annual Meeting, and am a former Trustee. I am on the editorial board for Applied Health Economics and Health Policy and serve as a statistics and methods reviewer for JAMA Network Open.
