Max Retail helps brands and retail stores sell their unsold inventory through a distribution network of marketplaces. As Head of Engineering I enabled the company to scale it's network of marketplaces, improved the efficiency of cross functional teams and built an internal engineering team from the ground up.- Worked with the CEO and Head of Product to soft pivot the company to a sales channel distribution network.- Managed a team of 9 engineers that included other lead engineers and system architects.- Lead the company effort to scale its operations and ability to fulfill more orders by automating manual tasks, bug fixing problematic sections of the platform and developing new 3rd party integration's. Responsibilities were to manage Reelio's engineering team, company wide software architecture and mentoring/training. Most of my personal engineering contributions were developing the company's DevOps infrastructure, architecture of all back-end software and automated end-to-end testing. There are several services that I am directly responsible for, a search engine built on top of Elasticsearch and an internal DevOps API.
