Hi there! I am a jack of all trades, master of a few, with experience growing communities and membership for science affiliated nonprofits, graphic design and illustration, astrotourism, and even a bit of tech and agriculture at the top of the list. I'm the proprietor of Ursa Maple Sugar Farm in northern New York State: we make award-winning maple syrup, candy and cream every spring! My day job is another passion of mine: accessibility! I work at Crawford Technologies as an electronic document remediation specialist, which means I make sure PDFs and other types of files are readable and sensible via screen readers When I'm not making syrup, I freelance on interesting and oddball projects. Don't be shy, hit me up with your requests! I supported astronomy education programs for over a decade at the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. My primary focus was NASA Night Sky Network, an informal education program supporting astronomy clubs in their outreach efforts across the United States and its territories.I've also worked in a variety of other roles, both as a consultant and employee, including: astrotourism guide for corporate and nonprofit events (including events for Subaru and REI at the Grand Canyon and other national and state parks), science museum docent, nonprofit archivist, information technology, and even operations management. My employers come from all sectors, including non-profit and academia; large, highly regulated biotech companies; and even lean green energy and gaming startups. My diverse work history enables me to assist a wide variety of individuals and companies in successfully and efficiently achieving their goals, while also having a fun time doing so. In other words, I'm comfortable in a lot of roles and learning new ones, which has turned out to be extremely useful to my past and present employers - and would likely work out well for you, too.
