About Dave Read

I am a currently a director of Dynamic Rides, a cycle shop and cafe based near Solihull. I was a partner in EY Transaction Advisory Services based in London and advised on over 400 transactions globally to a selection of multinational companies and PE houses. Between 2005 and 2011 I was Global and then EMEIA Leader in Transaction Advisory Services and in these roles I was a member of EY's Global and EMEIA Executive Boards. My role prior to retirement was to coordinate EY activity across all our services with some major transacting clients - Unilever , Permira , Apollo, Hg and Actis. In addition I led and support investment projects with clients and government agencies. I was a key member of EYs Divestiture Advisory Services which includes advising on IPOs. During my varied time with EY I have lived and worked in many countries and have a strong knowledge of global business and cultures combined with an effective network across EY. I really enjoy working in Emerging Markets and have spent time in many countries across Asia, Africa, Middle East and CIS and supported the build of EY Emerging Markets centre. Between 2011 and 2013 I lead EY International Development practice focused on working with funding organisations and Governments to improve the business and social environment in developing markets.You can contact me at dave.read@uk.ey.com
