I have a global practice focusing on criminal and civil government enforcement actions against companies and individuals, internal corporate investigations and corporate compliance. I specialize in enforcement and compliance matters involving the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA), as well as U.S. healthcare regulation. I am regularly engaged by private and public companies, and individuals to assist with compliance counseling, risk assessments, compliance program assessments and monitoring, internal investigations, civil and criminal defense matters, and M&A compliance due diligence. I have more than two decades of experience in private practice, the U.S. Department of Justice, and two Fortune 250 companies. I have built and operated sophisticated global compliance programs, supervised and performed scores of complex internal investigations, successfully defended corporate clients and individuals accused of a wide variety of violations of federal law, and successfully prosecuted healthcare fraud, other government fraud, and other federal crimes. I have deep experience in a wide variety of heavily enforced regulatory regimes, including all aspects of U.S. healthcare fraud and abuse, such as the Anti-Kickback Act, Safe Harbor Regulations, and False Claims Act allegations; international anti-corruption, such as the FCPA and the U.K. Bribery Act; and export controls and sanctions.
