Working in the Global Services Digital Sales Transformation team to deliver enhancements to our sales systems with a focus on Salesforce and Box. Key delivery included Box as the content layer across our marketing and sales systems, driving content automation and improving collaboration both internally and with our customers. This involved integration with multiple systems to provide a single-truth of content across processes.

I was responsible for managing UK sales tools for WAN, LAN and UCC solutions. This involved in-life support, product launch, tool strategy and rationalisation projects. Stakeholder engagement was key to ensuring the sales tools delivered business needs. The team I managed delivered significant user experience enhancements to the tools leveraging the latest web technologies.

Delivery of sales systems to enhance the sales journey and drive improved revenue.

Delivery of enhancement to tools used by BT Global Services to enable sales teams to product quotations and orders for UK products. This involved working with a small team based both in the UK and India to develop, test and deliver inovative solutions. During this time I improved my knowledge of business and process management to allow me to have an impact on the way the sales journey could be improved.

In this role I worked in a team that developed software solutions for both internal and external customers using agile methodologies (OOA, OOD and UML). I expanded my skills to develop solutions using J2EE technologies (including EJB2.1, EJB3, JMS, JBoss AS) on top of previous skills such as Struts, Tapestry, XML, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. I led a team that implemented a tool to manage the capacity of BT Media and Broadcast's network, carrying TV and media broadcasts, which won several internal awards. I was also a key member of the team that delivered a Broadband Global Area Network for BT utilising small satellite terminals (Inmarsat BGAN).

Working in a small team delivering the latest technology of commercial voice and data communication to aircraft including both business jets and major airlines. We were seen as a centre of excellence in delivering these inovative services. The role involved both hardware and software engineering to not only maintain system availability but also to deliver enhancements and new services on a regular release cycle. I led a project to automatically deliver statistics to several major airlines which allowed them to reduce operating costs and track usage of new services.

Training and operation of all aspects of satellite communication systems for delivering ship-to-shore services (both voice and data). This involved both engineering and customer service (technical) functions.
