As part of the Enterprise Data Center team, I provided support for the VMware ecosystem. That included vCenter, ESXi hosts, Site Recovery Manager, Aria Operations Manager and Aria Log Insight. Our team is also responsible for upgrades and working with Broadcom Support on any cases. The VMware environment runs on the Cisco UCS platform for which we were also responsible to upgrade and maintain along with the Pure Storage Arrays. There were two COLOs that the company had in two separate states which included Phoenix. A smaller data center was maintained in a third state. In addition, I was also involved with servicing and maintaining Cohesity backups as a backup SME.Technical Scope: VMware vSphere, includes vCenter server, ESXi, Aria Operations Manager (SaaS and On-Prem), Aria Log Insight (SaaS and On-Prem), Skyline, Site Recovery Manager, vSphere Replication, Pure Storage Array, Cisco UCS Blades and Servers, Cisco Intersight, Cohesity Data Protection.Some key achievements:♦ Architected, installed and maintained Site Recovery Manager using vSphere Replication. Served as SME and trained one other engineer as well as other Enterprise teammates.♦ Architected, installed and maintained Aria Operations Manager and Aria Log Insight on-prem for two data centers. Served as SME and trained other Enterprise teammates. Also implemented the SaaS version of both of these along with Skyline Pro in order to streamline log gathering for support cases.♦ Implemented Cisco Intersight across all of the Enterprise Infrastructure in order to provide automated case generation and streamline log uploads for support cases. I served as SME for this technology.

I provided support for both physical and virtual servers built on the Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2 and 2016 platform, including provisioning physical and virtual servers using SCCM images and VMware vRA Orchestration, building and configuring stand-alone and multi-node Microsoft SQL Failover Clusters. In addition, I built VMware ESXi hosts, monitored and expanded vSphere datastores and datastore clusters, and performed other vSphere administrative tasks. My role focused on ensuring system performance met business needs. I performed a broad range of technical work, including creating UUID, IP, MAC, and WWPN schemes, resource pools for service profiles, and service profile templates for new UCS installations; configuring LUNs on NetApp Storage for boot LUNs; creating and resizing SAN volumes; and deploying code updates to websites. In addition, I prepared and maintained documentation on procedures and setups.
