➤ I’m the owner at #250. I have spent many years of my career in telephony, working for Sprint, having held positions in Consumer Insights and the Network group where I had a key insight: not only that nobody can remember 10-digit phone numbers, but that there was the ability in mobile networks to create a universal speed dial. My focus at Vanderbilt was on both marketing and information systems, which allowed me to keep up with the ever-changing consumer behavior and marketing technology. It was the perfect background that led to the inspiration for developing #250. ➤ #250 allows you to connect in the easiest possible way to brands & companies - just by saying their name, slogan, or simply their category, like “Plumbing”. Our main intention in developing #250 was to deliver more calls to businesses than a 1-800 or vanity phone number by removing faulty human memory as a barrier to immediate connection with a brand or company. Not only is #250 easier to remember, but it’s easy to dial (unlike a vanity number). ➤ Spending a career in Marketing also teaches the fundamental idea that consumers will not jump through hoops to do business with you. The more steps involved in them making contact, the greater the chance they won’t make the connection.➤ Asking people to Google your business leaves a lot of revenue on the table, since relatively few prospects will (1) remember to do it once they get home and (2) choose you, rather than one of your competitors that they also see on Google. That’s why #250 facilitates immediate connection to your brand or company. ➤ #250 provides a once in history opportunity to position your company as the default service provider in your city. If you do not license your category term soon, your competitor WILL, possibly locking you out forever (and is no other number like #250 to fall back upon). ➤ Apart from the Marketing skills I like cooking, foreign culture, reading, hiking and canoeing.
